Field Notes: WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW
The White-crowned Sparrow is very similar to the White-throated Sparrow, but is missing the white throat patch and the yellow eye brows. It is more common in western North American.
The White-crowned Sparrow in these photos was seen in the Rocky Mountains. It landed relatively close by and remained in place long enough for me to capture a number of frames. It was a bit overcast, storms were moving in, and it was somewhat cold and bit windy.
